Michael A. Paras Leadership Award
The Michael A. Paras Leadership Award is awarded to a railroad, transit
or operating company executive who has demonstrated exceptional
leadership by implementing effective changes that have led to
improvements such as safety, efficiency, training/development, etc. To
be considered for the Operations Leadership Award, the candidate must be
nominated by a current AARS member. The candidate does not have to be a
current AARS member to be considered.

AARS "Ones to Watch" Award
The AARS "Ones to Watch" Award is awarded to a person in railroad
management who, through his or her management style and achievements, is
considered to have contributed to the success of his or her railroad
and is expected to continue to provide valuable industry leadership. To
be considered for the "Ones to Watch" Award, the candidate must be
nominated by a current AARS member. The candidate does not have to be a
current AARS member to be considered.

AARS Partnership Award
The AARS Partnership Award is awarded to a company or organization that
has demonstrated excellence in industry leadership/partnership in
support of the needs of railroad superintendents and operations
management and the AARS. Candidates could be industry suppliers,
railroads, transit companies, agencies, or operating companies in the
rail industry. To be considered for the Partnership Award, the candidate
company or organization must be nominated by a current AARS member. The
candidate company or organization must have at least one representative
that is a current AARS member to be considered.

AARS Outstanding Student Award
The AARS Outstanding Student Award is awarded to students (undergraduate
or graduate) who have demonstrated academic excellence, and proven
commitment and ability to contribute to rail industry advancement.
Candidates may be nominated by AARS members, the candidate's employer or
professor, or the AARS Scholarship committee.
